How do I join the association?

If you have a Master’s degree from the ZHAW with a specialisation in Professional Translation or Conference Interpreting, please request application materials directly from: berufsverband@duev-bv.ch.

If you do not have a ZHAW diploma, but cumulatively fulfil the criteria below, we would be pleased to assess your admission application:

  • You have a university-level degree in translation and/or conference interpreting (Master’s or recognised equivalent).
  • You have several years’ experience.
  • If you are an interpreter, you offer at least three languages.
  • You have a long-standing tie to Switzerland.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to consider any applications which do not meet all of the above admission criteria.

We reserve the right to decline applications.

Membership fee and dues

Our membership fee and dues (annual dues):

  • One-off admission fee
  • CHF 50one-off
  • Ordinary membership dues
  • CHF 175per year
  • Retiree membership dues
  • CHF 75per year
  • Lump-sum fee payable by translators and interpreters in the active pool
  • CHF 40per year
